As I mentioned in my recipe forecast, this recipe is one that finds its way to my table at least 1-2 times a month. My family absolutely loves it. The recipe lends itself well to variations, allowing the cook to adjust the spiciness of their dish to their liking.

Entrée # 3: Kung Wow Chicken
For this recipe, I will be making Kung Wow Chicken, it is a variation of Kung Pow Chicken that I found on a cooking website (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/kung-wow-chicken/). I do a few variations to the recipe in the link. Below is my modified recipe, but feel free to try both and decide which you like better.

Upcoming Meals as of 4/7/14
As I have mentioned I have just started a new job so my time has been extremely limited these last few weeks. I just wanted to provide a quick update on future recipes that I will be posting within the next few weeks.
- Reuben Dogs - These are a recipe that is a combination of a good, high quality hotdog and a nice Reuben sandwich. My family LOVES this recipe.
- Kung Wow Chicken - This is a variation of Kung Pow Chicken that I found online, this secret to this recipe is the sauce. This has become a regular in our dinner rotations, usually showing up 1-2x a month.

Entrée # 2: Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich on a Hoagie Roll
Sorry for the long delay on this post. I just recently started a new job and the past few weeks have been filled with orientation, looking for a daycare for our youngest, and generally finding a way to make my new work schedule function. Side note though: I really love the job, so it has been really good stress!
For this post I prepared a Philadelphia Cheese Steak Sandwich. If you've had one of these from a restaurant or sandwich stand, then the ingredients should be pretty obvious: steak, cheese, onions, green peppers, and bread. For this particular recipe I've added a few additional ingredients that I feel add a lot to the flavor. My recipe creates just over 6 sandwiches.

Entrée # 1: Southwestern BBQ Chicken Salad
For my first recipe I will be posting my family's version of the Southwestern BBQ Chicken Salad. This recipe is very similar to what you can get in many restaurants; however, this can be made at a fraction of the price. The recipe below feeds about 6 people, and you can adjust the portions to decrease or increase the output.

Welcome to Enginering Entrées
Hello and welcome to Engineering Entrées. This is a new blog that will explore cooking with a technical aspect. I will be posting different recipes and providing explanations for some of the different ingredients used in the recipe. I feel that cooking shouldn't be as simple as following a step by step instructions (although the steps are important!) but should incorporate an understanding as to why the steps are performed. With this knowledge, we are allowed to adjust recipes to better fit our tastes! Please feel free to comment on any recipe and provide any adjustments you make.
